Camino Primitivo
In September 2022, I walked the Camino Primitivo from Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, a distance of about 320 km (almost 200 miles and 467K steps) over a period of two weeks. This route goes through Asturias and Galicia provinces of Spain. Much of the route is in rural areas with very small villages.
There is quite of bit of vertical travel (climbing and descending) along this route - over 14,700 meters (more than 48,000 feet). On several days we climbed up to the ridge tops where wind turbines are mounted.
I used the Wise Pilgrim Guide to the Camino Primitivo and the walking notes provided by Follow the Camino (FTC). FTC arranged the itinerary, lodging, and bag forwarding.
I used my Google Fi phone and Geo Tracker (geo-tracker.org) application to generate the map/track photos.
