The KTMicro 0915 and 0936 chips are full featured "radios on a chip".
The KT0915 chip provides LW, MW, SW and FM broadcast coverage with digital tuning provided by a microprocessor, similar to Si473X and TEF668X radios, or mechanical tuning via a potentiometer.
The KT0936M chip provides LW, MW, SW and FM broadcast coverage with mechanical tuning in about 60 different bands (4 FM, 2 LW, 4 MW, and 50 SW).
Many of the KTM0936M SW bands are narrow, providing a full range of tuning for a single SW broadcast band. The frequency bands and their ranges are "set" using precision resistors at specific pins of the chips. The tuning is provided by a variable resistor / potentiometer instead of a variable capacitor.
The KTMicro chips support AM in multiple bandwidths and wideband FM. Neither of the chips provides SSB or CW modes.
